Game modes
Minecraft has 4 modes: Survival (survival) — the standard game, Creative (creative) — unlimited resources, Adventure (adventure) — you cannot break blocks without the right tool, Spectator (spectator) — invisible flight through blocks.
Quick switching
For quick switching you can use numbers: /gamemode 0 (survival), /gamemode 1 (creative), /gamemode 2 (adventure), /gamemode 3 (spectator). Works in Java Edition.
Creative mode
In creative mode all blocks and items are available, with infinite health, flight (double-tap space) and instant block breaking. Ideal for building and testing.
Spectator mode
In spectator mode you can fly through blocks, view through the eyes of mobs (left-click on a mob), and you are invisible to other players. Useful for inspecting builds from the inside and finding caves.
